Have you ever baked with lavender?

Hey, Reader!

I know, I know—lavender isn't everyone's cup of tea. There have been one or two first-time recipe tests where I've gone overboard with the amount, and well...

But when done well, lavender is a light, floral flavor that beautifully accentuates chocolate, citrus, and honey!

That's why I dedicated this last month to adding some new lavender recipes to blog (and also why I keep finding dried lavender on my kitchen floor, despite sweeping and vacuuming multiple times a week 😅).

Here are all the lavender recipes I posted last month; know that I tested each one multiple times and got tons of feedback from my taste testers to ensure they had just the right amount of lavender.

Lavender Chocolate Chip Cookies

One of the most popular recipes on my blog, you can make these lavender cookies with any kind of chocolate—milk, dark, or white!

But don't just take it from me, here's what Mandy had to say:

These cookies were so yummy and easy to make. ... The lavender is present, but not overwhelming, and the cookies bake up nice and soft with crispy edges. So good!

Lavender Madeleines

Dipped in a homemade lavender white chocolate, these madeleines have the perfect balance of sweet and floral.

Honey Lavender Syrup

This syrup rivals my old favorite—lavender simple syrup—as my favorite flavored sweetener for black tea and coffee!

Color-Changing Lavender Lemonade

Lavender contains a natural pigment called anthocyanin, which changes color based on the pH level. The lemonade starts out blue-green, but it turns bright pink when you add the lemon juice!

Lavender Cocktails

You all have been asking for drink recipes with my lavender simple syrup, so Lavender Month was a great time to share four cocktail recipes, including my personal favorite, the lavender mojito, which also turns pink 😄

I have a couple more lavender recipes from last year on my website, too!

And if I've convinced you, here's an affiliate link to my favorite lavender to bake with so you can get started ASAP ⏲️

I've got another ingredient-themed month coming up in June—any guesses? 🍒

As always, happy baking!

A hand holds a chocolate muffin

Happy almost Valentine's Day, Reader! When it comes to Valentine's Day, I feel like there are two kinds of recipes: The ones that make cute little hearts out of everything in shades of red and pink, and the ones that overload on chocolate.
